My debut book, 6 PM, is a collection of poems, thoughts, and dreams about love, loss, and healing. Written over the course of several years, 6 PM captures the raw emotions of the cycle of love.

As a Chicana playwright I strive to bring to the stage the stories that filled my childhood and still surround me today. One of my favorite things to do when I was little was to sit around the kitchen table with my grandmother and aunts and listen to them tell stories about growing up in Mexico. I still love to listen to people's stories...wherever I am, I am blessed too often have people tell me their stories.
I view theatre as a social, political, and cultural platform. It's a space where we can dive into critical issues such as race, gender, sexuality, class, ethnicity, and the place where they all intersect. I search for truths and am not afraid to put them on the stage. Most of the time I am able to do so through comedy. My main interest is in exploring the roles that we are all assigned at birth and, most importantly, feel we must abide by.
As a poet all I want to be is honest, real, and vulnerable.
I am a performer, a writer, and activist, an educator...I am inspired by love, I am inspired by the border and the intricacies of living in two worlds at once.
